Nicollet Early Childhood Center Playground

Hey, friends. Our kids need our help! A community need has come to our attention and we have committed to find the funds to support this important project. The Nicollet Early Childhood Center (NECC) is an important part of our community. It provides much needed childcare for our local workers as well as a student feeder program for the Nicollet Public School. The NECC playground desperately needs to be replaced to meet current safety standards as well as to provide an accessible place for all our children to play. NECC currently has students enrolled with mobility issues and they are unable to use the current playground. Can you imagine having to sit back and watch your friends play when you can’t? A modern playground is vital to the development of all children.

The total cost of the playground is projected to be $250,900! Yes, that’s a staggering amount and that is why we are in need of your help! To fund the playground, we are pursuing both local funding as well as grants from regional and national foundations and firms. We are off to a great start securing financial and in-kind commitments that currently surpass $220,000!!

Help us make a difference in our community by donating to the project. There are several ways for you to donate:

• You can write a check payable to either Independent School District 507 (Nicollet Public School) or to the Greater Nicollet Area Community Foundation. Both organizations are tax exempt organizations as GNACF is a 501c3 organization and NPS is eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions from individuals under Section 170c1 of the IRC. You can write a check payable to either organization, but we ask that you mail your donation to GNACF at PO Box 416 Nicollet, MN 56074 and note “playground project” in the memo.
